For Marina storage and marine service questions go to our Marina Page or Call Scott at 301-870-3133. History on Port Tobacco and our Restaurant Port Tobacco, originally the Indian settlement Potopaco, was the original county government seat and second largest seaport in Maryland. During the Civil War, Port Tobacco was home to Confederate sympathizers and an important link in the Confederate underground because of its location near the Potomac River. The Port Tobacco Tiki Bar and Restaurant was destroyed by Hurricane Isabel on September 19th, 2003, at the Port Tobacco Marina. The building was replaced by Vincent "Cap" Mona. The new outdoor spaces have covered and uncovered sitting areas and bathrooms are available outside as well as inside. Boaters get to dock for free so come by land or sea to see us soon.
Whether you cruise up the Port Tobacco River by boat or by land for a Sunday brunch, a business lunch, or cocktails at sunset or a leisurely dinner, you'll enjoy the relaxed elegant atmosphere that Port Tobacco Restaurant Waterfront Dining always offers. After enjoying a delicious lunch or afternoon snack, take in the fabulous views of the Port Tobacco area. The expansive partially covered OUTSIDE DECK and TIKI BAR is especially attractive on summer evenings, where you can enjoy drinks and food served in season, and watch for wildlife and Ospreys flying down the Port Tobacco River. Our staff can set up great seatings for all occasions. When life offers meaningful Celebrations, Events, Weddings, and Special Occasions we want to make certain everything is just right.
